In 1989 Walter Gibson founded an independent residential cleaning service in High Point, focusing on providing honest jobs and valuable services to diverse community members. Maid in North Carolina, Inc expanded into multiple cities throughout the Triad by 1995, and emphasized core values such as honesty, integrity, competent staff, full insurance coverage, and a solid customer satisfaction guarantee. Gwen Burckley joined his staff as the office assistant in 2003.  Walter and Gwen married in 2007 and continue to run MAIDinNC together.

 

Walter ensures that his entire staff is continually motivated to be dedicated to customer service. Honesty, integrity, trustworthiness, and a strong work ethic are necessary characteristics of all employees, and these characteristics are verified by extensive background checks. 

 

Walter runs the business, provides the cleaning estimates, and manages his employees.  Gwen, an ex-Marine, trains new employees, maintains the website, marketing and books, and provides backup to the current office assistant as needed.
